The Ales Way - Yorkshire's Ale Trail
Stretching from north to south, Wharfedale is one of the most famous and most beautiful valleys within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The Ales Way, Wharfedale’s Ale Trail is a collection of some of the true greats in British pubs. The trail not only gives you the opportunity to savour the delights of traditional real ales along the way, but also to take in
the wonderful sights and sounds of Wharfedale; making the trip an experience in its own right. Wharfedale Brewery has joined forces with the Pride Of The Dales (Mon-Sat) and Dalesbus (Sundays) bus services to select pubs which, for the most part, are easily accessible by public transport, ensuring that any trip to a pub on the Ales way is a fun and relaxing experience. We hope you enjoy your ale trail around some of the finest pubs in Wharfedale, which is why we have produced a souvenir t-shirt listing all the participating pubs on the back. Simply pick up your stamp card in any of the pubs. You will receive a uniquely coloured pint stamp from each pub when you order a pint of Wharfedale Brewery beer. Collect ten stamps, complete the application form on the back of the stamp card and we will send you a free t-shirt. Your name will also be entered into The Hall of Fame on this website should you choose to be listed! If you manage to collect a stamp from every pub on the trail we will also send you a free Wharfedale Brewery presentation box containing two of our bottled beers and a Wharfedale Brewery branded pint glass. Wharfedale’s ale trail is intended to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace and not all in one day. Please drink responsibly and respect your fellow pub goers, pub and bus staff and the general public. It is always advisable to phone ahead or contact pubs in advance if travelling in a large group. Please note that pub details may change without notice and our beers are subject to availability and it is advisable to check before heading out on the trail.
