🌊 Swim Safe is back for 2026! 🌊

We're delighted to be teaming up with Spring Lakes Water Sports to deliver sessions throughout the summer.

Brought to you by the charity Bluetonic, improving people's mental health and wellbeing in, on and around water.

πŸ“… Launch Weekend:
Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th June 2026

πŸ“… Summer Holiday Sessions:
28th July – 2nd August 2026

⏰ All sessions run between 10am and 1pm

Swim Safe helps young people build confidence in and around open water while learning essential water safety and self-rescue skills. Delivered through the RNLI and Swim England Swim Safe programme, these sessions are fun, engaging and could make a real difference.

Recent tragic incidents involving young people getting into difficulty in open water have highlighted just how important water safety education is. As temperatures rise and more families spend time around lakes, rivers and reservoirs, giving children the knowledge and confidence to make safe decisions around water has never been more important.

These FREE sessions provide practical skills, expert guidance and the opportunity to enjoy the water safely in a supervised environment.

⚠️ Places are limited and demand is expected to be high, so we strongly encourage parents and carers to book as soon as possible.

πŸ‘‰ Book your place via thius link:

A huge thank you to the Co-op Community Fund for helping make these sessions possible for local families and young people.

πŸ’™ One hour could give a child skills that last a lifetime. Book today and help keep young people safe around water this summer.

🎨 A burst of colour for the community!

Children from Dallimore School joined artist Neil Keating to celebrate the vibrant new street art mural at Windsor Crescent, Kirk Hallam β€” bringing creativity and energy to the neighbourhood.

This is just the beginning, with the council committing Β£100,000 towards official murals as part of its Β£6.5 million Erewash Investment Fund, helping to transform and brighten public spaces across the borough.
