This Volunteers' Week, we're celebrating the amazing volunteers who make a difference across our services every day.

From supporting patients on our wards and helping at infant feeding groups, to befriending people who may feel isolated and supporting rehabilitation services, our volunteers bring kindness, compassion and lived experience to the heart of what we do.

One of our volunteers said:

"Volunteering has given me purpose and confidence. I've learned a lot, met new people and have more to offer the community around me."

Our volunteers don't just support services – they help brighten someone's day, provide a listening ear, and make a real difference to the lives of patients, carers and families.

Thank you to every volunteer across NELFT for the time, dedication and care you give to our communities. We couldn't do it without you. 💙

At the end of the week where we celebrated and listened to our Nurses, for International Nurses Day, we hear from Angela Witham, one of our District Nurses, who talks about the role of district nursing, how they are keeping people out of hospital, what she most enjoyed about our nurse's event and how she is so proud of her team working in challenging times.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Struggling with exam stress? You’re not alone.

Exams can feel overwhelming, but small steps can make a big difference:

- Create a realistic revision schedule
- Take care of your physical health
- Don’t compare yourself to others
- Think positively
- Keep things in perspective

Remember: doing your best is enough. You’ve got this 🙌

A new way to reach NHS 111, Option 2, by text. 📱
From today, anyone in north east London can text 07860 009642 to access mental health crisis support, as well as calling.
Sometimes words are too hard to say. Sometimes there isn't a private place to make a phone call. If texting feels easier, you can send 'help', or anything at all, even a blank message. A team member will get back to you.
A joint service from ELFT and NELFT.

A huge thank you to all of our nurses across NELFT 💙

Yesterday, we came together for our International Nurses’ Day celebration, recognising the incredible dedication, compassion and expertise of nursing teams across the organisation.

We celebrated our Directorate Nurses of the Year, heard inspiring stories from teams, and reflected on the positive difference nurses make to people’s lives every single day.

We also took time to acknowledge the realities and challenges many nurses face, creating space for honest conversations and reflection.

And while many joined the event, so many others were caring for people in our communities, clinics and wards.

From our junior nurses to senior leaders, thank you for everything you do. 💙
