👧🧒Calling Reception starters, September 2025! Bookings are now open!
We hope your child got one of your preferences as their named school when you opened your email in the early hours (no doubt)! We are on hand to offer support if you want to discuss any local schools.
🥰 Did you know we offer school drop off (from 7.30am) and school collection (until 6pm) with our wrap around childcare at Idle C of E Primary, Thorpe Primary School and Thackley Primary School
I have a daughter in Year 3 and a son in reception and know that juggling working hours to balance school drop off and collection is a challenge - and can be stressful!
As a family-orientated business, we help with school drop off, school collection and wrap-around childcare and creative play-time.
With the school day lasting on average 6.5 hours, as a teacher and parent, I know how important and physically and mentally healthy it is to walk to and from school (we aren’t far from any of the schools and we have tried and tested with little legs!) and have a change of scenery in a different environment. 10 hours is a long time in one building…and that’s why we offer something different to school wraparound childcare.
There’s no one room, or one-size-fits-all approach for our children. And, our childcare team recognise how daunting and overwhelming it can be for a younger child or anxious child if there are lots of children in one space all the way to 11 year old, which is why we have different indoor and outdoor spaces!
We have nurturing spaces for our younger children, and calmer spaces for children wanting to regulate after a busy day at school. As well as childcare practitioners, we have wellbeing coaches and Youth Mental Health First Aiders in our Sowing Seedlings team here to help support children’s mental health and practise mindful time.
The walk to school is one of our favourite parts of the day (really!) and we cherish that we get to take your child on an adventure as we walk them to school, talk to them and help them prepare. We often find that they open up to us more about how they are feeling, and we make sure we talk to the teacher too.
We also want you to get the drop-off and collection experience with us! We make sure we pass on notes to the teacher and ask about their day on collection. We always share with you information about their day (from school and with us) at home time too!
