Our Memory Café sessions provide a warm, relaxed and welcoming place for people living with dementia, their families and carers to come together, enjoy good company and spend time with others who understand.

Each session offers the chance to chat over a cup of tea, enjoy music and activities, take part in games and have fun, while also providing friendship, support and useful information in a caring environment.

Whether you’re living with dementia, supporting a loved one or simply looking for a friendly place to connect, you’ll be made very welcome.

There’s plenty happening this September across Age UK Hythe, Lyminge & Ashford, with activities, practical support and opportunities to get involved throughout the month.

This September includes:

🧠 Expanded Dementia Services – with more days of support for people living with dementia and increased Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST) sessions.

👕 Secondhand September – we’re also welcoming donations of good-quality clothing, books, bric-a-brac and other items ahead of our Jumble Sale on Saturday 26th September. Donations can be made up to Thursday 24th September.

💻 Help Getting Online – appointment-based digital support is available in both Hythe and Ashford.

👂 Hearing Support – including Clear Ears appointments and Hi Kent hearing aid battery and tubing sessions during September.

Our Community Meal Service is available 365 days a year, providing a freshly prepared two-course hot lunch together with a friendly welfare check from our caring staff and volunteers.

It’s much more than just a meal — it’s a reassuring visit, a friendly face and valuable support to help older people remain independent in their own homes.
