Brockhill Country Park

Brockhill Country Park Brockhill's lake, woods, meadows, picnic and play areas – along with the excellent Brockhill Café Excluding the 14th February 2022.

Once part of the estate of a Norman manor, Brockhill Park has a central lake, open grassland and meadows, and all the facilities you need for a family day out, including a picnic area, a play area and refreshments at the excellent Brockhill Café. The park is rich in wildlife, including marbled white butterflies, green woodpeckers and carpets of snowdrops. It is also a local wildlife site and has 3

distinctive areas to explore:

the deer paddock is an attractive grassy area featuring trees such as the walnut and the variegated sycamore
the lake is a shady oasis for wildlife fringed with overhanging trees, where ducks can be found paddling around its edges. Brockhill café will be shut every Monday from the 26th January until the 1st April 2022.

We had a great time at our Little Explorers toddler group yesterday, as Brockhill is bursting into its summer colours, we focused on the colours of nature.
We played parachute games, tried our hand at landscape painting, created wooden rainbows, got very messy mixing up colourful potions and paint rolling, all before enjoying a treat and songs around the campfire 🔥

Our toddler group meets every Tuesday morning during term time, from 10am-11:30am, tickets must be booked in advance.

Got little ones who haven't yet found their feet? Our next Woodland Babies session is on Tuesday 16th June, lots of nature fun and time under the trees for pre-walking children.

Tickets for all our groups (along with a sneak peek at the first couple of our summer events... 👀) can be found by following the link below ⬇️

Thank you to all our volunteers. We couldn’t do it without you 💚🌳

Behind every well-maintained path, newly planted tree, restored habitat, repaired bench and welcoming green space, there’s often a volunteer making it happen.

Across Kent Country Parks, our volunteers give their time in all weathers. They’ve helped plant trees, improve access routes, clear scrub, manage habitats, maintain play areas, process logs, support conservation projects, tackle invasive species and care for some of our most special places.

They work alongside our Ranger teams, bringing enthusiasm, knowledge, friendship and a shared passion for the outdoors. Whether it’s a muddy winter work party, a sunny day planting trees, or sharing stories around a campfire at the end of a task, their contribution makes a real difference.

This Volunteers’ Week, we’d like to say a huge thank you to every volunteer across our parks. Your hard work helps protect wildlife, improve visitor experiences and ensure these special places can be enjoyed for generations to come.

If you’ve ever thought about getting outdoors, learning new skills, meeting like-minded people and giving something back to nature, we’d love to hear from you.
