Eagles had a brilliant first night away! 🌙

We’ve had bedtime chats, endless giggles, games, hot chocolates and lots of excitement before finally settling down for sleep.

All children slept really well… although when it went particularly quiet in one of the Year 6 boys’ rooms, I discovered there was no need to worry they had simply set up their very own hair salon and were busy trying out some “interesting” new hairstyles on each other!

This morning everyone enjoyed a yummy breakfast and are now out making the most of today’s activities and adventures!

Eagles Class have kicked off their residential trip in style today with a full-on afternoon of activities! 🌊🏕️

There were lots of laughs as we squeezed into wetsuits (which seemed determined to fight back 🤣) and took to the water. A few accidental slips, splashes and unexpected swims may have happened… although some children seemed to spend more time falling in than staying upright! 😅

The children have shown brilliant teamwork, resilience and enthusiasm all day and are already making amazing memories. We’re very proud of them all even the ones who discovered just how cold the water is firsthand! 💦🦅

More adventures to come tomorrow!

This week, we were invited to Kimbolton Prep, alongside another local primary school, to take part in a friendly cricket tournament. 🏏

What a fantastic opportunity for our pupils! They had a brilliant time, showed great teamwork and sportsmanship, and represented our school so well throughout the day.

We were incredibly well looked after and enjoyed burgers and pizza afterwards, the perfect way to celebrate because… we won! 🥳

A huge thank you to Kimbolton Prep for hosting such a wonderful event.

The children absolutely loved their Hawks Multi Skills session on Tuesday!

It was fantastic to see them having such a great time whilst developing those important core skills, teamwork, coordination, balance and confidence. Lots of smiles, energy and enthusiasm all round! 🌟

So pleased we signed them up for it Hunts School Sports Partnership

This morning Owls and Hawks had Wild Science in to hold a mini beast workshop linked to the current learning happening in KS1 🐛
We had a giant African millipede, a hissing cockroach, some orange wood lice, a katydid and a giant African snail! The children had a brilliant time asking questions, holding the mini beasts and learning all about their habitats and characteristics. Wild Science said how brilliant the children behaved and how respectful they were toward all of the animals. Well done Owls and Hawks! ⭐️

Today some of our Kites Class had a fantastic time attending the golf festival ⛳️

There were plenty of smiles, lots of enthusiasm, and some amazing shots on display, we were so proud of you all! You represented the school brilliantly and, most importantly, had a lot of fun.

The journey home was full of excited chatter… mainly about whether we can squeeze a putting green into school for lunchtimes! 👀

I’m now seriously considering it… although I’m not sure the staff car park is quite ready to become the 9th hole just yet! 😂
