Splash Academy offers an extensive range of activities and courses for all ages and abilities, as well as providing professional development opportunities for teachers and coaches of many aquatic disciplines. The comprehensive teaching scheme includes:
Adult and Child: Parent/baby classes are designed to give your baby a head start by developing water confidence from a very young a
ge. Seahorse Classes are for 3-5 year olds and designed to improve confidence and technique with only six pupils in a class. Early Development classes are aimed at young children who are wanting to learn to swim and improve their water confidence. Advanced Development classes (Gold/Silver/Bronze) are aimed at competent young swimmers who are looking to develop confidence and technique. Sessions last for 60 minutes. Mini Squad sessions concentrate on stroke
development and training skills. Rookie Lifeguard course: Learning early life saving and personal survival skills. Session last 60 minutes. Adult Advanced and Beginners: these sessions provide stroke development in a great environment, whether it's fitness training for the confident swimmer or a calm environment for the non swimmer to learn in. Sessions last 60 minutes. Private lessons are an excellent opportunity for the very timid to gain confidence or special one to one attention on an area of stroke
technique. Lessons are subject to availability, details arranged on an individual basis. Lessons last 30 or 60 minutes. ABOUT PATSY:
Splash Academy is owned by Patsy Coleman; well known for her exceptional ability as a teacher and coach of swimming. With extensive experience as a teacher, coach and tutor, including a post as Coach to the British Paralympic Swimming Team, Patsy is highly respected throughout the national swimming fraternity. To ensure that both the lessons and professional development courses are of the highest standard Splash has undertaken considerable investment in Teaching Aids for poolside. The success of both the Teaching and the Professional Development Programmes run by Splash has seen the Academy develop a reputation on both a local and national level for the delivery of a swimming service of the highest standard. ABOUT OUR TEACHERS:
All our teachers are qualified, develop through our Continual Professional Development programme and are DBS checked. All the programmes aim to meet the excellent standards of the Amateur Swimming Association, Swimming Teachers Association and Disability Sport with regard to development and award attainment.
