Godmanchester Community Plant Nursery & Cafe

Godmanchester Community Plant Nursery & Cafe Owned by Godmanchester Town Council we are a unique horticultural project with the aim to involve & educate.
(1)

The Nursery is mostly powered by volunteers and includes a heritage orchard, nuttery, bee hives, winter & market gardens, shop & a cafe. At just over four acres in size, the Community Plant Nursery could be just what your garden needs at this time of year if you have been waiting for the sun to shine before you spring into action. With several different areas including a vegetable garden and potag

er (a Victorian style garden used for growing vegetables and flowers for use in the home), an orchard growing local apple varieties and a range of plums, a winter aspect garden, a drought garden, a nuttery, and a bee garden, this is a lovely little area to come and explore and gain ideas for changes to your own garden. With the help of a great team of volunteers who carry out all manner of jobs from weeding to vegetable planting, seed sowing to fruit harvesting, and mulching to grass cutting, there will shortly be lots of plants and seedlings costing from as little as 50p upwards ready for you to buy to bring colour and variation into your homes. We welcome visits from the general public and you are welcome to come and just have a look around. A volunteer can accompany you to give you more information if you wish, or you can just sit and relax for a while.”

You will find the nursery situated to the rear of the bungalows on Park Lane, Godmanchester, PE26 2AG.

🧚‍♀️ Thank you to everyone who suggested names for our beautiful fairies. They have picked their favourites and are now settling in to their new homes across the Nursery. Why not pop in to see how many you can find!

🍄We're open Tuesday - Saturday, 10am - 3pm and the cafe serves on Thursday, Friday & Saturday until 2pm.

🧚Find us behind the bungalows on Park Lane; turn at the Black Bull and we're on the left.

🚜We're dog friendly with free parking and accessible toilets. As well as finding fairies children can also go on one of our nature based hunts or play with the growing range of tractors, mud kitchens and games.
