Youth Work Conference 2026 – Celebrating 5 Years - Bookings Now Open!

Saturday 14th Nov 2026, 9am - 4.30pm

The conference is aimed at youth workers, youth organisations, voluntary and community groups and partners working with young people. Whether you have attended every year or this will be your first conference, we would love you to join us.

The conference is a great opportunity to connect, share practice, learn from one another and celebrate the difference youth work makes — and we’re looking forward to doing it all again in 2026.

This year we’ll have a mixture of guest speakers, practical workshops, networking and opportunities to explore some of the issues currently affecting young people and youth work practice.

New Mahjong Club at St Neots Library!

Mahjong is a popular Asian game that involves memory, strategies and luck.

Everyone is welcome at this monthly club, whether you are a beginner, an expert or just interested in learning more about the game.

The first session will be on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 2 till 4pm at St Neots Library, Priory Lane, St. Neots, England, PE19 2BH. No need to book, just drop in!

Session is free, although donations are appreciated.

Are you or is someone you know dealing with grief?

Would you like a safe, non judgemental place to go and talk, or just be, with others in a similar position?

Friends Grieve Together is a wonderful peer support group led by volunteers Annabelle and Jane. It runs every Friday from 10am to 12 noon at Morrisons Community Room in St Ives.

Everyone is welcome.

We often hear the words, “It’s good to talk.”💙

And it really can be.

But when you’re grieving, you may find that the people around you don’t always want to talk about your loss. They may not know what to say, feel uncomfortable, worry about upsetting you, or just struggle to understand what you’re going through.

And sometimes, you just need someone to listen.🧡

Someone who won’t try to fix it.
Someone who won’t judge.
Someone who understands that grief doesn’t follow a timetable.

That’s one of the things that makes our grief, bereavement and loss group so special. 💜

It’s a place where you can come as you are, share as much or as little as you want, and spend time with people who understand something of what it’s like to live with loss. 🤍

You don’t have to carry your grief alone.

Sometimes, simply being heard, understood and connected with others can make a difference.

Because sometimes, it really is good to talk — especially with people who understand.

With hot weather forecast this week, an amber heat health alert will be in place across the East of England until 9pm on Friday 14 August. ☀️

While we hope people enjoy the warm weather, please remember to do so safely and look out for others who may be at a higher risk of becoming unwell.

If you have to go outside, seek shade at the hottest time of the day (between 11am and 3pm), wear sunscreen, a hat and light clothes, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, and avoid exercise or activity that makes you hotter.

Some people may struggle to stay cool in the hot weather so please check on elderly friends, neighbours and family members – or anyone you know who may be vulnerable.

Are you aged 11-17? Do you care about your community? Would you like to have a say about the future of this town?

Go along to this open afternoon where you'll be able to meet Town Councillors and Youth Coordinator, talk about the issues that matter to you, and learn more about joining a Youth Council this autumn.

St Ives Town Council wants to create a future for this community which serves everyone, and we need the voices of young people to help us. There'll be regular meetings of the Youth Council, where your ideas can feed directly into Full Council decisions.

Summer Youth Club in St Ives for Neurodivergent Young People Aged 13-17!

The summer youth club offers free drop in sessions aimed at 13 to 17 year old neurodivergent teens who want a place to socialise and get out of the house over the summer break.

It will take place on Fridays from 1-3pm at the Burleigh Hill Community Centre, Constable Road, St Ives, PE17 3ER.
