Huntingdonshire District Council have agreed to extend the current Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) for Dog Control in Huntingdonshire for a period of three years 🐕‍🦺🐕

You can read the full story here but the main idea of the dog control PSPO is to ensure that everyone can enjoy parks and open spaces. It also means that owners must clear up after their dogs and keep them under full control at all times.

The new approved conditions include:

A condition requiring a person responsible for the dog(s) to ensure the dog(s) are not out of control or damaging or destroying another animal.

That the person responsible for the dog(s) are not allowing the dog(s) in their charge to cause alarm and/or distress to others.

The order will also introduce the conditions to allow action against a person responsible for dog(s) that repeatedly stray.

* A message from Cambs County Council*
The Transport Strategy team at Cambridgeshire County Council has developed three draft transport strategies that will set the County Council’s transport policy approach for the districts of Fenland and Huntingdonshire, and for active travel across the whole county. We are now consulting with all stakeholders and the public on the draft strategies to give you the opportunity to input into them before they are finalised and recommended for adoption in Spring 2023. We would welcome your comments on the following strategies, and also ask for your help in spreading the word.
- Draft Fenland Transport Strategy
- Draft Huntingdonshire Transport Strategy
- Draft Cambridgeshire’s Active Travel Strategy
The public consultation survey is now live and can be accessed on our consultation website here https://consultcambs.uk.engagementhq.com/
Please select which strategy you would like to find out more, read the draft strategy and provide your views by completing the online survey.
The survey will close on Monday 7th November 2022.
We welcome your response for any combination of the three strategies dependent on your interest.

As the country enters a period of mourning, following the sad passing of Queen Elizabeth II, we have decided to open the club early this evening at 530 so that we can show the Remembrance Service that is being televised from St Pauls Cathedral starting at 6pm.

We hope you will join us as we come together to raise a glass, remember and celebrate her late Majesty’s life and give thanks for all she did for us over the last 70 years .

As a mark of respect, there will no music or club games at the club this evening🖤
