Vehicle parked outside Dixons, Swan Lane, Lockwood.

Although Dixons is one of the best ice cream places in Huddersfield, this parking is certainly not worthy of any awards apart from a fixed penalty notice which was given to the driver of the vehicle.

Today started at 7.30 this morning with a couple of emergency issues! Followed by a litter pick (where 15 bags of rubbish were collected) with some brilliant colleagues, a housing issue and some Scrutiny training.

The weather really has not been able to make up its mind today.
During the morning I got soaked, blown away and the sun shone 😂.
I’ve spent today volunteering, speaking to residents about issues including concerns about fly tipping and antisocial behaviour at Springwood, Parking issues on Blackmoorfoot Road, fly tipping at Rashcliffe Park and speaking one to one about mental health issues. It’s certainly been a very varied day

Working with children and young people is something that I love to do and today I’ve been working with SEND children and their families and attending an excellent Ready for School event at the Chestnut Centre. Working across wards and across parties to ensure the best for our young people.

Spending time walking round Walpole and Thornton lodge this morning, reported in a couple of flytips, some broken drains, chatted to lots of lovely people and did a mini litter pick on the Rashcliffe Rec.

Really lovely Ward Advice Surgery today at Crosland Moor Community Centre. I spoke to residents and discussed ways I could help. I'm now spending the afternoon reporting the issues. Next session will be held on the 27th June at 1pm (poster to follow). Thank you to the brilliant Sue Lee-Richards for coming along to support me today.
