With less than a week to go, hereโs everything you need to know about getting to Slaithwaite Duck Race on Saturday 13th June.
As part of our commitment to reducing the eventโs environmental impact, and alleviating parking pressures in the village, we ask visitors to choose low carbon travel options wherever they can.

โข There is very limited parking in Slaithwaite.
โข On Duck Race day, no vehicles will be allowed into Spa Park, except for stallholders.
โข We strongly encourage walking, cycling, or public transport wherever possible.

Spa Park is a 9 minute walk from the centre of Slaithwaite, located between Manchester Road and Bridge Street.
Via Bridge Street (recommended route):
โข Start at Bridge Street beside Monsoon Tandoori Indian Restaurant.
โข Walk downhill past Cornfields Day Nursery on your right.
โข Just before the road bends left into Platt Lane, look for a footpath on the right.
โข Follow the path over the small footbridge, then turn left into Spa Park.
Via Manchester Road:
โข The park can also be accessed directly from Manchester Road via the woodland entrance.

โข Cycling is a great option for avoiding congestion.
โข Cycle down Spa Lane off Manchester Road (What 3 Words: contracts.wizard.faster) into the park.
โข Cycle to the entrance on Bridge Street (What 3 Words: ready.widen.inner) and walk in from there.

โข Slaithwaite Station sits in the centre of the village.
โข Itโs a 9 to10-minute walk to Spa Park.

โข Frequent bus services run through Slaithwaite from surrounding villages, Huddersfield, and Manchester.
