Kirklees Young Employment and Skills Board

Kirklees Young Employment and Skills Board The Kirklees Young Employment and Skills Board is made up of young people 16-24 who want to make a difference in Kirklees to help young people get work.

The Young Employment and Skills Board is a board of young people aged 16-24 who raise issues with how work preparation is educated in schools and how in general young people are prepared for work. We also work on projects to help tackle these issues, e.g. we thought that businesses and schools didn't work together enough to prepare young people for work so we are in the process of creating a resou

rce pack to be used in schools which includes businesses with practical activities. We are also helping to organise a volunteering event to get the views of young people around volunteering. Aside from being a great thing to get involved in for your local community this is a brilliant development opportunity - something which will look good on your CV!
