I had a very enjoyable and productive time at the coffee morning today.

It was wonderful to meet so many local residents and families from across Hucknall West, including Michael, his wife and daughter, Alan, his father, wife and son, along with many other attendees who came along to support the event.

I was also pleased to meet a lady who had travelled all the way from Newstead Abbey, as well as Councillor John Wilmot, Hucknall North County and District Councillor. Councillor Wilmot shared information about unclaimed Government benefits that may be available to local residents. I will be finding out more details and will share this information with residents in due course.

Most importantly, I was delighted to pledge a donation from my Community Development Fund to the church in recognition of the fantastic work carried out by the coffee morning organisers. The service they provide is outstanding, bringing people together and offering freshly cooked English breakfasts to residents attending the event.

Thank you to everyone at United Reformed Church In Hucknall involved in organising such a welcoming and successful community gathering. I look forward to supporting future events and continuing to work with residents to strengthen our local community.

What a sight to see on Kingsway Road today! ๐Ÿšง๐Ÿ‘

This is LIVE this morning as the JCB Pothole Pro machine got to work, and it is genuinely impressive to watch. This incredible piece of equipment takes road repairs to a whole new level, cutting out damaged sections of road, cleaning the area, applying the necessary materials, and completing repairs with remarkable speed and precision.

What would normally take a team of workers and multiple pieces of equipment much longer to achieve can be completed by this machine in a fraction of the time. The result is a faster, more efficient repair process with less disruption for residents and road users.

Seeing innovation in action like this gives real confidence that we can tackle road maintenance more effectively and keep our highways in better condition. Today's work on Kingsway Road is another positive step forward for Hucknall West, and I am delighted to see this technology being used in our community.

A huge thank you to Emma, Our Leader Councillor Mick Barton, and the highways team on site for their hard work and professionalism throughout the operation.

If you missed the live video, take a look and see for yourself why the JCB Pothole Pro is being described as a game-changer for road repairs! ๐Ÿšœ๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ

The JCB Pothole Pro has arrived and work is now underway on Kingsway Road!

I visited the site this morning, spoke with the team carrying out the repairs, and I'm pleased to see this much-needed work finally getting started. I will be returning later today to follow up on progress and speak with the team again.

โš ๏ธ IMPORTANT: If your vehicle is parked on Kingsway Road, please move it as soon as possible. Parked cars may prevent sections of the road from being repaired and could delay the works. Your cooperation will help ensure the maximum amount of repair work can be completed while the machine is on site.

A special thank you to Emma, Councillor Mick Barton, and the Executive Director of Via East Midlands Highways for their support in helping make this happen.

Thank you to residents for your patience and for continuing to raise the issues that matter to our community.

๐Ÿ“ธ Take a look at the photos from today's visit and keep an eye out for further updates as work progresses.
