We wanted to give you all an update on our plans for the next few weeks in response to the relaxation of rules that are coming into place as of Monday 19th July.
The last few weeks have been very challenging in terms of staff and children having to isolate. We appreciate that late changes to sessions are not ideal and we try to contact you as quickly as possible. We appreciate your flexibility; particularly in the holidays when we have lower staff numbers.
We do not feel now is the right time for us to relax any restrictions and so we have made the decision to continue with all of the safety measures that have been in place since the pandemic began.
Our staff will continue to wear masks/visors when working with visitors to the setting as well as during handovers.
Handovers with parents will continue to be delivered outside.
We kindly request that for the safety and consideration of our staff; parents continue to wear a mask during handovers.
Our Covid secure risk assessments will continued to be followed.
The safety of our staff and children is our priority and we hope that parents will understand our reason for continuing with our covid secure procedures.
Children will still be sent home for a PCR test if they display symptoms of Covid.
We ask you not to bring your children if they have had Calpol or any other medication that could mask the symptoms of Covid, prior to arriving at nursery. We also ask if your child is unwell you keep them at home.
We are awaiting conformation on the correct date but it seems that from the 19th August, staff and children will only be told to isolate if they test positive. As soon as we clarify the correct date we will inform you all.
Thank you
