We've just received this message from a Horsham resident. So lovely to get this sort of feedback.

Hi, I posted this on the Horsham natters group this morning and someone sent me the link to you. It happened around 10:30/40 this morning.
It made me smile after a bit of a rough time at the minute.

Does anyone know if Bluebird community project has a page? I can’t seem to find one but wanted to share what I witnessed this morning at Tesco with them.

The driver of the minibus index ending Bwz had to be one of the most friendliest and helpful people I have seen for a while.
He dropped off some elderly residents for their shop and made sure they all got off safely. He helped one lady with the zip on her coat because she couldn’t manage it and then made sure people were ok getting their trolleys and seeing them inside.

If anyones elderly family or friends use this service, then they’ve got someone looking after them. I’d say he went over and above what most transport drivers would do to help along with a few jokes and a smile. 😊

FREE TRANSPORT option now available to help people get to their COVID-19 vaccination appointment

From today (17.03.21), West Sussex residents who have no means to get to their COVID-19 vaccination appointment will be able to book a free return journey to help them attend.

To book free travel please book your vaccination appointment first and then call 01444 275 008 to speak to a travel coordinator. The booking service is available between 10:00-13:00 and 14:00-17:00 Monday to Friday.

Once you are through to a travel coordinator you will be asked the following questions:

- Do you have access to transport to attend your vaccine appointment?
- Do you have a family member, friend or carer who can help with transport? They do not have to be in your bubble as per government guidelines.

If both of these options are not available the travel coordinator will arrange transport for you, including any additional needs such as wheelchair-friendly vehicles.

All transport providers have signed up to a COVID-19 safety policy to ensure that all precautions are in place for a safe journey
