⭐ Another Successful International Repatriation ⭐

Receiving feedback like this reminds us exactly why we do what we do.

Last week, our team had the privilege of repatriating a patient from Paris back to Cumbria following a difficult and stressful period for both her and her family. Understandably, the journey was a daunting prospect, but our crew were committed to ensuring she felt safe, comfortable, and supported every step of the way.

We were incredibly humbled to receive the following feedback from the family:

"From the moment you walked into her room in Paris, we both felt an enormous sense of relief that the nightmare of the last ten days was coming to an end and that we were in very safe and professional hands. I really can’t express our thanks to you all more strongly, we shall always be grateful for what you did for us last Monday."

A huge well done to Marcus, Chris, Bill, Kim and James for delivering the exceptional care, compassion, and professionalism that our patients deserve. Special recognition to Kim for ensuring a smooth handover at Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle during the early hours of the morning.

At ALS, we understand that a repatriation is far more than just a journey. It is about providing reassurance, dignity, clinical excellence, and compassionate care when people need it most.

Thank you to the family for allowing us to be part of their journey and for their incredibly kind words. We wish Frances a continued recovery and all the very best as she progresses with her rehabilitation.

⚠️ Signs & Symptoms of Heat Exhaustion / Heat Stroke ⚠️

• Dizziness or fainting
• Headache
• Feeling sick or vomiting
• Excessive sweating or very hot skin
• Muscle cramps
• Fast breathing or rapid pulse
• Confusion or difficulty speaking
• High temperature
• Tiredness or weakness

🚨 Heat stroke is a medical emergency. If someone becomes confused, stops sweating, has a seizure, or loses consciousness, call 999 immediately.

His extensive background includes leadership within CQC-regulated ambulance operations, urgent care services, event medical management, patient transport services, and healthcare consultancy.

Throughout his career, Chris has played a key role in supporting NHS services, private healthcare providers, large-scale events, and specialist patient transport operations. Meet Jason Williams.

At ALS, we are incredibly proud to have Jason Williams leading our clinical operations.

Jason brings an exceptional level of experience, knowledge and frontline operational expertise to ALS, with a career built around some of the most demanding areas of pre-hospital and emergency medicine. His background spans Pre-Hospital Critical Care, HEMS, major incident response, remote medicine, aeromedical retrievals, repatriation medicine and advanced clinical education.

Over the years, Jason has worked in high-pressure environments managing critically ill and seriously injured patients where rapid decision making, advanced interventions and calm leadership are essential. His experience within HEMS and critical care retrieval medicine has seen him involved in complex trauma, emergency response, time critical transfers and aeromedical operations both within the UK and internationally.

Jason also has extensive experience in major incident planning and operational support, helping develop safe and effective responses for large scale events and challenging environments. Alongside this, his background in remote medicine has involved working in situations where clinical teams must operate independently with advanced skills and strong leadership.

Education and mentoring are also a huge part of Jason’s career. He has supported the development of clinicians and operational teams through teaching, mentoring and maintaining high clinical standards, helping crews build confidence, competence and professionalism across frontline operations.

Having someone with Jason’s calibre, experience and passion for patient care within ALS is a massive asset to the organisation. His leadership helps strengthen every area of our operations, from patient transport and repatriations through to event medicine and urgent care.
