When emojis don’t mean what you think they mean… 😬We asked a group of parents what they really think these emojis mean to young people.

Knowing how young people communicate matters more than ever. That's why you should sign up to our 2026 Growing Your Teenager course!

Growing Your Teenager is a free course for parents in the Horsham District with children starting secondary school in September 2026.

Learn about communication, boundaries, anxiety, self-esteem, online safety and more delivered with support from Sussex Police and West Sussex County Council.

Find out more about the course and sign up at: https://www.horsham.gov.uk/news/2026/06/welcome-return-of-horshams-teenager-behaviour-course-for-parents

We have extended the closing date for our consultation on how we can work to improve air quality across Horsham District. 📣

We are keen to know about your experience of air pollution and launched a consultation providing the opportunity for residents and community stakeholders to share their views on the air quality in Horsham District and the measures proposed to improve it. We want to know what issues matter most to you, where the Council should focus its efforts, and how we can continue improving air quality. Your feedback will directly help shape our actions.

The consultations deadline has now been extended to July 20.

Find out more, and take part in the survey, via the Council website. The link is in the comments below.
