We hope the electorate remembers all the lies from this Labour government that started the day they connned their way into office by a few votes in hundreds of constituencies, with all the promises, none of which they have kept.

We've had one chancellor this Parliament who had absolutely no experience as a CFO, and now we have a new one that hasn't even worked in an accounts department unlike Rachel, a union man through and through. How can he be trusted to run a £6 trillion economy?

And we remember her remarkable strength and compassion.

Perhaps the military would be a good option for all those that claim they can't get a job, or don't want to for many, and would rather sit at home and rely on the benevolence of the tax payer?

Not only can Mr Burnham not afford to buy the round for everyone, he would have to borrow the money to pay for it — putting further upward pressure on gilt yields in the process.

At home, if you have no money left, have maxed out your overdraft and credit cards, you do not rush out and take on yet more debt. So why does the Labour government believe the country’s finances can be managed this way?

Without really significant reductions in public spending, the UK economy is heading into a death spiral. By the next general election, I hope the painful numbers will be enough of a reminder for the electorate to vote Conservative.

It took Britain around 70 years to industrialise its economy. The Victorians understood that it would be a slow process, requiring huge infrastructure change and vast amounts of investment.

So why does Labour think decarbonising the entire economy can be done in 25 years, with so little regard for the risk of bankrupting the country and forcing households into spiralling debt to pay for it?

It is a very good question — and one they cannot answer.
