Volunteers are often the unsung heroes in our communities and we’re so pleased we could come together on Volunteers’ Week to celebrate their contributions and the positive impact they make everyday through their volunteering.

We had a wonderful time on Thursday evening celebrating volunteers across Horsham District at this year's Horsham District Volunteer Awards! ✨

We’re pleased to announce that the 2026 winners were:
⭐ Young Volunteer Award – Nathan Hughson from Huxley's Birds of Prey Centre, Horsham, West Sussex
⭐ Rising Star Award – Tara Clark from Henfield Youth Club
⭐ Above and Beyond Award – Jane Beasley from Henfield Electric Community Car Club - HECCC
⭐ Dream Team Award – Billingshurst Emergency Assistance Team Billingshurst Emergency Assistance Team
⭐ Community Champion Award – Sean Orr from Menshare Listening Group
⭐ Trustee of the Year – Tom Murray from Horsham Matters
⭐ Long Service Award- Lillian Millar from Cancer Research UK
⭐ VSS Special Recognition Award – Henry Johnston from Cancer Research UK

The Lord-Lieutenant, Lady Emma Barnard, The High Sheriff of West Sussex, Gary Shipton, and the Chair of Horsham District Council, Cllr Joanne Knowles, presented the awards to the winners at Slinfold Golf & Country Club 🏆

Last night, we had a wonderful time celebrating the amazing contributions of volunteers across the Horsham District at the Horsham District Volunteer Awards!

It was lovely to come together on Volunteers' Week to celebrate the positive impact the winners have made on our communities. 💜

We’re busy getting ready for this years’ Horsham District Volunteer Awards!

Held annually during Volunteers’ Week, this year marks the 5th anniversary of the awards! They’re an opportunity for us to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions made by the brilliant volunteers in our District 💜

This year, we received over 100 nominations, highlighting the widespread positive impact that volunteers across the Horsham District are making. ⭐️

We are so appreciative of each and every volunteer who gives their time to make a positive difference within our community!
