Horsham Fire Station Horsham's new fire station (53) is an immediate response station consisting of 5x Wholetime 'watches' and 1x On-Call (RDS) watch.

There are 4 appliances:
53P1 Fire Engine-W/T
53P2 Fire Engine-RDS
53A1 Aerial Ladder Platform-ALP
53M1-Off-Road 4WD-L4T Platinum House incorporates a state-of-the-art training facility together with a new fire station to serve Horsham and the surrounding area. The site incorporates a number of different training environments that immerse firefighters in real-life operational situations. This includes a state-of-the-art live fire training facility, a cold smoke training tower, an immersive incident command suite, and a road traffic collision training area. The fire station consists of appliance bays, office space, training rooms, staff bedrooms and a community space. The site is staffed by wholetime firefighters 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as well as a unit of retained firefighters. Platinum House is accessed via a new road off The Boulevard, which WSFRS staff have chosen to name Macfarlane Way in memory of Station Manager John Macfarlane who passed away in 2013.

If you see someone in trouble in the water call 999 immediately 📞

With temperatures set to rise, we know it’s tempting to head to the water to cool down, but open water can be extremely dangerous, even on the hottest days.

✅ Stay safe:
• Stick to supervised areas where possible
• Never enter water after drinking alcohol
• Enter the water slowly to let your body adjust
• Always go with others and keep an eye on each other
• If someone is in trouble, call 999 or 112. Don’t put yourself at risk

We want everyone to enjoy the sunshine safely.

Please respect the water and think twice before jumping in.

🥞 Be careful in the kitchen this Pancake Day.

Don’t leave your cooking unattended and keep oven gloves and tea towels away from the hob.

In the event of a fire, always get out, stay out, and dial 999.
