🛢️Do you support the Conservative view that Britain should produce more of the oil and gas we still need at home, rather than becoming increasingly reliant on imports from overseas?

Closing down North Sea production will cost skilled British jobs and weaken our energy security, while simply moving production elsewhere.

We can invest in cleaner energy while continuing to support British workers and produce the energy our country still needs.

🅿️ “THAT IS ABSOLUTE NONSENSE…”

✅ IT’S OFFICIAL: At a meeting of Leeds City Council's Executive Board on 22nd July, councillors formally accepted the recommendation to initiate a review of the incredibly unpopular District Centres Parking Charges policy - which includes Fink Hill Car Park. 🚗

🤦‍♂️ IT’S MIND BOGGLING, in some respects, to now hear that Labour councillors - including our three Horsforth & Rawdon councillors who voted to implement these charges, as well as voting to block multiple attempts to review and remove them - are now going on record to welcome this review.

🏛️ LET IT BE CLEAR: Had Labour councillors still held a majority in the Council chamber after May’s local elections, this review - full details to follow - would NOT have happened. Local councillors are simply taking the people of Horsforth and Rawdon for fools! 🤡

Leader of the opposition Councillor Alan Lamb (Conservative)called out the local Labour Councillors including those in Horsforth who are now claiming credit for getting this review but who voted to keep in place the parking charges the last couple of times this issue has been brought before Leeds City Council by opposition party's working together as "Absolute nonsense" at the most recent Full Council meeting.
