ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
Back Southgate and Walker Lane, Hornsea
Notice is hereby given that The East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle
from proceeding along Back Southgate and Walker Lane, Hornsea commencing Monday 7th September 2026 to enable scaffolding installation for the refurbushment of Pybus Court (ERYC
building).
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 7 December 2026.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via:
The remainder of Back Southgate, Southgate and Chambers Lane, Hornsea.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. Access cannot be maintained at these locations and all users will have to use the diversion in place.

Youth Worker Required for youth club project in HORNSEA
East Riding of Yorkshire.

Applications are invited from an enthusiastic and motivated individual to assist 2 nights per week in the ongoing development and delivery of an established youth club provision in HORNSEA East Riding of Yorkshire.

The successful applicant will work alongside young people, the Town Council and other stakeholders in delivering a range of activities aimed at assisting young people’s personal development. The post holder will have a genuine interest in young people and a commitment to equal opportunities.

Key responsibilities:-
• Plan and deliver interactive, safe, and engaging youth sessions.
• Build trusting, supportive relationships with young people.
• Provide a safe and inclusive environment.
• Ensure all safeguarding and child protection policies are strictly followed.

Memorial Gardens Sunday 7th June 2026 - 2.00pm until 4.00pm

If the weather is unkind, the concert will take place in The Methodist Church on Newbegin. Lets hope the sun shines!
