PORTSMOUTH WATER NOTICE

WATER MAINS RENEWAL: H7037 – BROADWAY LANE, WATERLOOVILLE

Portsmouth Water is investing £15 million by 2030 to renew 52 km of water mains, aiming to reduce leaks and improve supply reliability. As part of this overall investment plan we are renewing the water mains along Broadway Lane. These works will be carried out by Cappagh, an experienced mains-laying contractor.

The project

The works will renew 130m of water main from Little Lovedean up to the junction with Day Lane. During this time we will also renew the valves and the supply pipes between the mains and individual properties. Work will start on Monday 17th August and last for approximately 4 weeks.

Traffic management

In order to keep both our staff and the general public safe we will have 2-way lights in place during the works.

How will it impact me

Access will be maintained for residents at all times (including onto driveways). A small number of properties may experience a short interruption to water supply (under 3 hours) when their supply is being transferred onto the new main or when any mains connections are required to be carried out. Anyone affected will receive a minimum of 48 hours advance notification, and we will also confirm once the supply is fully restored. If you have a health condition that requires a constant supply of water or any other concerns about a short term loss of supply, please let us know using the contact details below.

How can I find out more

If there is a particular difficulty with which we may be able to help, please contact us on 023 9249 9888 and ask for Rachel, or email us at [email protected].

We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding while these essential works are completed. Our teams will do

PUBLIC NOTICE

From Monday, 27 July, the Parish Office will be open to the public:
9:30am – 3:30pm (Monday to Thursday)

This temporary change will give office staff dedicated time each morning to review emails, manage enquiries, and plan and prioritise workloads before the office opens to visitors. We hope this will help us provide a more efficient and responsive service throughout the day.

The trial will run over the summer period, and feedback will be presented to Full Council at its meeting on 7 September. We will review how the new opening time has worked and consider any comments or concerns received before making any longer-term decisions. Notices will also be displayed in the Parish Office reception and on the main noticeboard outside Jubilee Hall.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
