We reserve the right to remove comments and block you if we feel you offend, intimidate, hurt, or deliberately provoke specific people or groups of people. We welcome open debate; we welcome free speech that allows you to articulate their opinions without fear of retaliation. We live in a society where freedom of speech is a right, but if you abuse that right you can expect to be sanctioned. If anything you post tips the balance towards hate speech – this is defined as anything public that expresses hate or encourages violence towards a person or group based on something such as race, religion, age, s*x, nationality, ethnicity, disability, or s*xual orientation – or that post anything that threatens, incites, or encourages hatred or violence in any way, we may record this as a crime and investigate you in the same way we would as if this had happened on the street. We are appealing for information after gold jewellery was stolen from a property in Horncastle.

Two men visited an address in Banovallum Gardens on the morning of Friday, 3 September where they agreed to buy a number of gold pieces from an elderly individual.

While the owner agreed to sell some items, one of the men is suspected to have taken four gold necklaces that were not for sale.

These necklaces held tremendous sentimental value to the victim.

We believe the man pictured can help us in our investigations and are seeking help to identify him.

If you think you can help, or have any other information that you think could prove useful, email [email protected] quoting the incident number 178 of 06/09/26.

Starting at Boston they traveled through Horncastle, Coningsby, Woodhall spa, Louth, Mablethorpe, Alford, Spilsby and Skegness. Numerous road closures were put in place to facilitate the race and we would like to thank the public for their patience and for turning out and cheering the athletes on. On 04/08/26 Court Bailiffs, Lincolnshire police officers and Platform housing officers executed an eviction warrant at an address in Horncastle after evidence was presented to the court who granted a full possession order. The resident had previously been convicted of stalking his neighbours, being verbally abusive to members of the public and allowing his dogs to be dangerously out of control in the community. Whilst serving his sentence in prison the possession order was granted and he will no longer have access to his property when he is released. Lincolnshire police will not tolerate anti social behaviour in our communities and will work with partner agencies to ensure that Lincolnshire is a safe place to live, work and visit.

Yesterday we received a report of a drunken adult male acting in an anti social behaviour towards a group of teenage girls on a bus travelling through Horncastle. The male got off the bus and continued to act in a disorderly manner. Police units were deployed and the male was quickly located in the market place and arrested. This is Belinda. Her retirement savings of £20,000 were stolen in a case of impersonator fraud, leaving her with not even enough money in her account to pay her electricity bill.

She was called by a man who claimed to be from ‘Action Fraud’ who told her that her money was at risk so she needed to move it.

Belinda describes going into panic mode where she was bombarded with instructions by this man on the phone. In this case he claimed to be from ‘Action Fraud’ but we know that criminals will use various cover stories, including pretending to be a Police Officer or an official from your bank.

After this happened, Belinda was left devastated. She didn’t want to see or speak to anybody, she didn’t want to get out of bed and at her lowest, she didn’t want to live anymore.

Belinda’s trust was abused and she was coerced into transferring money. This was not her fault, and nor is it the fault of any victim of fraud. The blame lies entirely with the ruthless criminals who use scare tactics and time pressures to manipulate a victim into doing what they want.

Belinda is sharing her story in a new video, in the hope that it will help raise awareness of impersonator fraud, encourage reports and reassure victims that it is never their fault.
