Hand your answers in to us by 27th September for a chance to win £25 in Horley shopping vouchers!

Take some time out for yourself at a relaxing, mindful art session where our artist, Liz, will take you through every step of the drawing process and you'll come away with a beautiful piece of art!

Following on from her successful session on 'meditative lines', our next Adult Drawing Workshop will return to mindful artwork to create more structured images using relaxed, abstract techniques.

✏ Thursday 17th September, 1:30-2:30pm 🖋

Cost: £2

You don't need to have attended the previous 'meditative lines' session, nor do you need any drawing experience or materials (though you are welcome to bring your own, if you prefer!)

It's that time again - for one of us librarians to recommend a book that we have read and enjoyed. The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes was recommended to me by my sister - I usually read thrillers so this was not my usual genre. But... I absolutely LOVED it.

Set in Depression-era America, it’s a story of five extraordinary women and their remarkable journey through the mountains of Kentucky on horseback, delivering books to the community. Based on a true story rooted in America’s past, it’s a captivating tale of friendship. I laughed, I cried and I didn’t want it to end!

We have over 90 copies of this book in the Surrey Libraries catalogue so if you can't get your hands on our copy, there's plenty available to reserve! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Just a quick reminder that our Lego Club is coming up tomorrow! The perfect way to keep the summer vibes going, even as the days start shorten and the first day of school looms!

Saturday 29th August | 2:30-3:30pm.
£2 per child (no need to book, just turn up).

This month's Lego Club is all about making a splash with a water park theme! Build the most epic water slide ever, create your own Lego pools, or even design a Lego surfboard! Let your imagination run wild!

Recommended for ages 6+ (younger siblings welcome to come along and play in our Duplo corner free of charge).
