🐾 Dogs in the Graveyard and Churchyard

Dogs are welcome in the graveyard and churchyard but please keep them on a lead and under control.

It’s disrespectful to allow dogs to run around off the lead or use these areas as a toilet.

Let’s all help keep these spaces peaceful and respectful for everyone. 🌿

Thank you for your cooperation.

🚫 Play Park Closure Due to Vandalism

Unfortunately, we have had to close the play park following incidents of mindless vandalism over the weekend.

A piece of equipment has been damaged beyond repair, rubbish was left scattered across the area, there was broken glass and numerous piles of dog mess were found throughout the park. This presents a serious health and safety risk to children and families.

Our CCTV footage is currently being reviewed, and the police will be informed.

The play park will remain closed from today until it can be made safe again.

Let’s treat the facilities we have with the respect they deserve or we risk losing them altogether.

Upcoming works for the Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) project near Tollingham. This will involve a section of Lock Lane being closed to traffic for short periods while we carry out this work.

Works near Tollingham

As part of the project, we will be installing temporary access points (known as bellmouths) off Lock Lane. These will provide safe entry and exit for vehicles using our haul road - a temporary road used to transport materials, machinery and workers during construction.

To complete the bellmouth installation a section of Lock Lane will be closed to general traffic. This is expected to be in place from Monday 8 June for a week. While the road closure is in place, vehicles will still be able to pass through with support from our traffic management team. While we are working on site there may be short delays as vehicles are escorted safely through the work area. Outside of working hours, the road closure will be removed to allow vehicles to pass freely.

Alongside the summer plants, we thought it would be a lovely touch to create a little herb and fruit corner at Meadowfields.

We now have two tubs filled with herbs, fruits and a few veggies and you’re very welcome to help yourself.

If you’d like to add something to the collection, please do.

You’ll also spot a small apple tree growing between the tubs, which we hope will become a sweet feature over time.
