Care Resource Bureau Ltd has a combined 50 years experience in Health and Social Care. Our highly trained staff are tasked with providing care within our Service Users homes. Our clients range from vulnerable young adults to the elderly. Our Clients have ranging abilities and conditions from short term/long term illnesses, terminal illnesses, end of life care. As well as this we provide care and support to those living with learning disabilities, allowing them to live independently, encouraging and enabling them to access the community for social interaction. Our services range depending on the abilities of our services users, from minimal care to Hospital Discharge packages to 24 hours (live -in) care, including overnight stays. In cases where assistance is required for more than just personal care and assistance, we also provide a shopping service, light housework assistance and for those with little social interaction, outings. Care Resource Bureau Ltd also provides training to other Domiciliary Care agencies and Residential settings.

In 2015, after more than 25 years of hands-on experience in the domiciliary care sector, Tricia Downes recognised that many people deserved a higher standard of care, delivered with greater dignity, choice and compassion.

Together with her son Samuel Downes, who brought eight years of experience in care administration and management, they founded Care Resource Bureau with a simple mission: to put people at the heart of everything they do.

From day one, the focus has been on delivering person-centred care tailored to each individual's needs. As the business grew, Tricia and Samuel identified a gap in high-quality complex care services and became even more determined to provide specialist support that enables people to live safely and comfortably in their own homes.

World Sepsis Day | Every Minute Matters

Today is World Sepsis Day, an important reminder that sepsis can affect anyone, at any age, and can become life-threatening if not recognised and treated quickly.

At Care Resource Bureau, every member of our care team is trained to spot the early signs and symptoms of sepsis. From our carers to our management team, we understand that early recognition can make all the difference.

Sepsis can sometimes look like other illnesses, which is why our ongoing training focuses on identifying warning signs such as:

🔹 Confusion or changes in behaviour�🔹 Extreme shivering, fever, or feeling very cold�🔹 Severe breathlessness�🔹 Blue, pale, or mottled skin�🔹 Reduced urine output�🔹 Extreme sleepiness or difficulty waking

By ensuring our teams have the knowledge and confidence to act quickly, we help protect the people we support and ensure urgent medical attention is sought when needed.
