⚠️MARLOW NHPT RESPOND TO REPORTS OF DANGEROUS PARKING

🚔Marlow NHPT spoke to drivers of vehicles parked on the pavement at the junction of Marlow Bottom and New Road.

The vehicles were parked causing an 'Unnecessary Obstruction', resulting in pedestrians being forced into the road and drivers obscured from seeing oncoming vehicles at the busy junction.

All owners were compliant and accepted 'Words of Advice' on this occasion. Repeat offenders will receive Fixed Penalty Notices and risk having their vehicle towed away, where parked dangerously.

Following concerns highlighted by members of the public about Dovecot carpark, nearby businesses have been visited to understand the current impact the anti-social behaviour is having on them. The team are continuing to work with partners to address the ongoing issues and find longer term solutions to reduce the anti-social behaviour and misuse of the carpark 👮

🚨We are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in High Wycombe.

At around 1.20pm yesterday, officers received reports of a collision between a black Audi Q3 and a pedestrian, a man in his sixties, outside Lidl Supermarket on London Road, between Hatters Lane and Coopers Rise.

The man in his sixties sustained serious and life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital at this current time.

A 50-year-old man from High Wycombe has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit and driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs. He has been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.

We are carrying out a thorough investigation and are appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision, or who saw a black Audi Q3 in the London Road area before the incident, to please come forward.

We are appealing for witnesses to a robbery that occurred in the Eden Centre in High Wycombe yesterday (Saturday 5th September) at around 17:20, and in particular anyone who assisted police or was a victim themselves.

⚖️ SENTENCED ⚖️

Anthony Jones, aged 39, sexually assaulted a woman in her twenties in High Wycombe and has been jailed for nine years following our investigation ❌

He was sentenced today (4/9) and given a victim restraining order and made subject to notification for life.

Our thoughts remain with the victim for the courage shown throughout the investigation and court process 💙
