Thursday 4 September at 1930 is our open evening for potential new staff and we’d love you to help us spread the word!

You don’t need to have aviation knowledge, or understand the military, you just need to be aged 20+ with a clean criminal record & a passion for inspiring the next generation. We will teach you everything you need to know.

Please do come down and join us!

It’s the end of an era for 332 Sqn!

After 6 years, during which time she rose to the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer before becoming staff, CI Evie Collins has left the sqn for the final time.

Pictured here holding her farewell gift from the cadets & staff, she’s achieved a huge amount in her tenure, from overseas expeditions to being named the best cadet in South West Region last year.

Fortunately, she’s not going far as she starts her career with the RAF shortly and we’ll be keeping an eye on how she does. Good luck Evie!

It’s been a busy weekend for 332 Squadron Cadets. Gliding meant a (very!) early start for some on Saturday, whilst others were still on their feet in the small hours of Sunday morning on a night navigation exercise. Air Cadets learn a wide range of new skills, building confidence and having a lot of fun (if not a lot of sleep).

We will welcome a new intake on 24th July. If you are 12 or over and in Year 8 or above, and you’re interested in unique opportunities like these, please do get in touch!

This weekend, some of our cadets completed their Bronze Radio Operator badge, learning how to use radios and pass messages quickly and accurately between different ‘stations’ in a network.

The RAF Air Cadets offers training in radio communications and cyber technology, as well as the more traditional military skills such as flying, fieldcraft and drill.

This week we enrolled eight young people who are now starting their amazing RAF Air Cadets journey. We also presented badges to some of our more established Cadets, recognising their achievements in Leadership, First Aid, Space Studies and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.

The Air Cadets offer a fantastic range of activities and challenges. If you are at least age 12 and in Year 8 or above, and you’d like to be part of our next intake, get in touch.

Last night we were privileged to host Air Vice-Marshal Ian Townsend, Air Officer Commanding 22 Group.

AVM Townsend’s responsibilities include the Air Cadets, so it was a great chance to update him on some of our recent activities & achievements.

He presented several badges and promoted our newest Corporals and Sergeants, as well as answering a variety of questions about his career and the RAF, including his favourite aircraft to fly and most memorable experiences in his own Cadet career.

Thanks, Sir, for your time and the grins on the cadets’ faces after the parade said it all!

After a fantastic week at National Air & Space Camp last summer, and showing huge amounts of potential, Cdt Bal was privileged enough to be invited to attend a day at British Airways for a tour, opportunity to fly the simulator, and a taste of cabin crew training too.

He returned to the squadron with a huge smile and a deeper understanding of the aviation industry too!
