Thames Valley Air Ambulance is a charity at the frontline of saving lives. We bring the hospital to the patient, giving you the best chance when the worst happens. Every day, somebody in our community could be in urgent need of our service. We rely solely on the generous support of the public. Your support allows us to deliver care to the most critically ill and injured people night and day, 365 days a year.

Did you receive a call from us today? To mark the start of , our charity team have been speaking to some of our incredible supporters and thanking them for their generous donations.

We receive no government or NHS funding so without the kindness and dedication of our community, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. 🚁

Our crew are always ready to bring critical care to the scene, but they couldn’t be there without your support.

🩸 £1.76 could cover a large trauma dressing to help manage heavy bleeding.
💊 £33.96 could cover drugs for pain relief, ensuring patients are kept free from pain.
⛑️ £188 could provide a road traffic collision helmet to keep crew safe on scene.

Seeing the progress our patients have made is always special. ❤️

A huge thank you to Airbus Helicopters for hosting a private event for some of our patients and their families earlier this week.

It was a meaningful opportunity for our Aftercare team, crew and CEO Amanda McLean, to reconnect with people whose lives have been touched by our service.

For many of our former patients, our helicopter can be a powerful symbol of hope and of the care they received when they needed it most.

Having the chance to see it up close, under very different circumstances, was a poignant moment for patients, families and our team alike. 🚁

For every motorcyclist in our area, there’s peace of mind knowing we’ve got your back in an emergency. But do you have ours?

Join a convoy of other bikers at our on Sunday 27th September to help raise funds for your local air ambulance service.

Here’s what you need to know:
📆 When: Sunday 27th September 2026 from 9:30am
📍 Where: Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire
🏍️ How far: 25-mile scenic ride around the Chilterns

We’re suggesting a donation of £15 per rider and £5 per pillion. If you want to make your donation go the extra mile, you could also set up a JustGiving page and encourage family and friends to sponsor you.

Join crew and operational staff at the Oxfordshire Golf Club on Wednesday 14th October to help drive funds for your local air ambulance service.
