Meredith Farm Camping

Meredith Farm Camping £10pp Quiet, informal camping in the country. By stream and trees. Fab views
No: Music. No: Noise NO MUSIC! so a bit of peace! Caravans, tents, campervans.

To book, email [email protected], or in an emergency call 07813027670. Ours is a spacious site, over 20-acres of tree lined stream and field. All pitches are on grass. We take up to 10-Caravans and around 30 tents, so there is as much personal space as anyone could wish for. You can set up your own private enclave, sit quietly around small campfires, etc. We are next to a bus stop to Monmout

h or Hereford railway station. From Monmouth step on to, Abergavenny, Ross, Coleford, Brecon, etc. Pitch near the other vans and the various toilets/shower buildings, or go off to a secluded pitch under the trees, by the stream, as you like. You can often reserve such as pitch on booking. We do have rain, but far less than might be expected. Sheltered by the Black Mountains, we have about 1/2 of the rainfall experienced in Wales. (UK Met Office)

There are views over 3-counties and we are close to:
1) The Wye Valley,
2) The Forest of Dean,
3) The Black Mountains and The Brecon Beacons,
4) Symmonds Yat. There are many showers wash rooms and flush toilets. There is a fridge and deep-freeze for your freezer blocks. You are guaranteed a warm welcome at our quite splendid, dog and child friendly, local pub. The Royal Arms, In Llangrove. We welcome pets: dogs, cats, horses, children, etc, relying on you to ensure that they do not bother other visitors. There is about a mile of paths mowed alongside the stream, around and through the hay-fields, to walk dogs or just stroll before breakfast. Although we welcome all, the site is very quiet and picturesque and is particularly favored by those who want a peaceful time away. We are not for you if you want a place to play music or hold loud gatherings! There are sites nearby better suited to that than we are and we are very happy to advise you. We provide free-range eggs: chicken, duck and quail fresh daily, lamb chops & small joints; and a range of other essentials, in our pound shop. We will direct you to excellent local beers, wines and food, and occasionally provide these at our own 'Prancing Pony' cafe. We will guide you to an endless range of nearby attractions sufficient to amuse all ages for a few weeks. For example, these include: walking, boat hire, canoeing, riding, cycling, caves, fantastic walking, steam train, working coal mines, children's adventure centers, etc. Did I mention walking? Or just stroll and chill, under the trees or by the stream. We charge £10.00/night/person in a tent or caravan. We charge a further £5/child, under12. An electric hook up is available. There is no extra charge for: parking, dogs, awnings, clothes lines, etc, etc, so you know what you will pay. We give a 10% discount for visitors over state pensionable age and returning visitors. There is a sited caravan in its own garden available at £45/night for 2-people.
