Last Saturday, our Impact Officer was delighted to attend a Viking burial reenactment at Leominster Priory, exploring the rituals and discovering artefacts from across Britain and Europe that help tell the story of Viking life.

Herefordshire Community Foundation is pleased to support PrioryArtsLeominster with its programme of community and school events 🛶 Vikings at The Priory 27th May - 22nd June 2026

The reenactment was a true feast for the senses, brought vividly to life by Regia Anglorum, a nationwide society dedicated to recreating early medieval history.

It is part of a month-long celebration of Viking and Anglo-Saxon culture at , as the Herefordshire Hoard (Viking/Saxon) is exhibited in Leominster for the first time.

There are great things happening in Leominster 🌟

Last week our CEO Bridie Sullivan delighted to attend the opening of the new ECHO Smart Space by the Lord Lieutenant of Herefordshire. Huge credit to Mike Cook and the team for an inspiring and joyful event. A peek inside Radio ECHO was a real treat 🤩

Great to be joined by Gemma Johnson of Mountain Perspective, one of our Business for Good members. Earlier this year she helped award a grant to ECHO, so it was brilliant to see the impact first‑hand.

Across the road, The Lemner is now home to the Leominster Development Charity, chaired by Helen Bowden. It’s a fantastic space for young people and another example of our grants supporting those who need it most. Helen’s business, Orphans Press, is also a proud Business for Good member.

Also stopped by Sassy and loved spotting the Business for Good sticker in the window.

Thank you Visit Herefordshire who nominated our fund, Love Herefordshire, as the charity recipient of the raffle at their second Tourism awards, held at The Courtyard Hereford in Hereford last Tuesday 🎟️❤️

It was a fabulous event celebrating all the great people and incredible businesses involved in tourism for Herefordshire with host Kate Humble. The brilliant winners will be put forward to the VisitEngland finals 👏🏆

Thank you to all who purchased raffle tickets, as an amazing £1500 was raised for Love Herefordshire. The fund helps to make a difference to the lives of Herefordshire residents and build stronger local communities.
