Herefordshire Libraries Schools Library Service

Herefordshire Libraries Schools Library Service Herefordshire Libraries School Library Service provides primary schools with books, projects and artefacts for use in the classroom.

The Schools Library Service is available to all schools in Herefordshire and the borders of neighbouring counties: Gloucestershire, Monmouthshire, Powys, Shropshire and Worcestershire. Schools can access a wide range of books and resources to support teaching across the curriculum, develop literacy and reading skills, and encourage reading for pleasure. With over 60,000 key curriculum and popular

reading titles at all levels, our books are chosen by qualified librarians and experienced library staff. New titles and topics are added over the year so we can supply high quality, current resources when you need them. You can subscribe to the service annually or use our services on a pay-as-you-go basis. Here

Do you know a budding young poet aged 11-18? Would they like the chance to perform at Ledbury Poetry Festival? The recently launched 'Earthwords' Young Poets competition gives winners the incredible opportunity to perform their poems at the festival in an event hosted by Waterstone's Children's Laureate, Joseph Coelho!

We are holding FREE Easter poetry writing workshops at Hereford, Leominster, Ross-on-Wye and Ledbury Libraries that will enhance writing skills and support entry to the competition. Workshops will be run by leading poets Jean Atkin and Jonny Fluffypunk and are suitable for 11-18 year olds. Booking essential.
