Notice to our local community:

Exercise AGILE WARRIOR 26, the RAF's long planned major homeland defence training activity, launched this week. The exercise is designed to rigorously test the RAF's ability to protect the United Kingdom in an increasingly contested and volatile global security environment.

As a result, you may see a change in activity levels at RAF Henlow during this two week exercise, but please be assured that this is in direct support of Exercise AGILE WARRIOR.

❄️ Ex LABOR SKI 26 commenced on 31 January in Mayrhofen Austria, where 12 personnel from RAF Henlow undertook a week of Adventurous Training in Alpine skiing. Under the instruction of two qualified RAF AT Instructors, participants completed the training to work towards achieving the Ski Foundation Level 1 qualification.

This exercise provided an excellent opportunity to develop resilience, teamwork and confidence in a challenging mountain environment ❄️

🎄 Bringing our Community together this Christmas 🎄

Yesterday RAF Henlow was proud to host our annual Community Engagement Christmas Meal, welcoming 110 veterans of the station for a day filled with warmth, laughter and festive cheer. Guests enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner and an exciting raffle to round off the celebrations.

A HUGE thank you to RAF Benevolent Fund for their incredible support, and to the Biggleswade Veterans Hub who generously presented a £600 cheque to the RAF Benevolent Fund during the event.

We're also deeply grateful to all the volunteers across station who gave their time to serve food and make this day so special.

Christmas can be a challenging time for many, which is why it's so important to come together and support our community. Events like this remind us that no one should be alone during the festive period 💙

RAF Henlow has raised an incredible £3,123.78 this year through our Community Larder, which is provided by Surplus Supplies an environmental, social enterprise that helps charities and organisations in Bedford. Together we’re making a real difference 💙

An honour to welcome Air Vice-Marshal Appleton, Air Officer Commanding 2 Group, to RAF Henlow for our Annual Formal Inspection.

During the visit, AVM Appleton met with our people; gaining valuable insight into the station's operations and the vital support we provide to our Resident Units.

We were so proud to showcase the hard work and dedication of RAF Henlow!
