ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE
Temporary Road Closure of Beaudesert Lane, Henley in Arden

Please find attached the proposed diversion for the above road closure from 29/06/2026 to 01/07/2026 to enable rebuild of sluice valve chamber and hydrant chamber.

The emergency services will be informed, and the contractor will notify residents and businesses directly affected by the closure.

🌳 Have You Visited Jubilee Park Recently? 🌳

Tucked away in Henley-in-Arden, Jubilee Park is one of the town’s lesser-known green spaces.

With open grassland, mature trees, wildflower areas and outdoor fitness equipment, it’s a peaceful spot to enjoy a walk, spend some time outdoors or simply take a moment to enjoy nature.

Over recent years, work has been carried out to enhance the park, including new planting and wildflower areas that help support local wildlife and pollinators.

While it may not be as well known as some of our other parks, Jubilee Park remains an important community green space and a place where residents can enjoy a little peace and quiet close to home.

We’re also pleased to say that further enhancements are planned for the park, and we’ll be sharing more details in the coming weeks.

📣 Outcome of the Parish Meetings held on 28 May

Thank you to everyone who attended the Parish Meetings held on 28 May to discuss the proposal to bring Henley-in-Arden and Beaudesert together under one parish and one parish council.

Following discussion and a vote by electors at each meeting, the proposal did not receive the support required across both parishes to proceed.

As a result, the Joint Parish Council will not be submitting an application for a Community Governance Review this year.

The Council would like to thank everyone who attended, participated in the discussion and took the time to vote.

📢 Proposed Blackford Mill Development – Have Your Say

We will be holding a public consultation meeting on the proposed development of up to 300 homes on land south east of Henley-in-Arden (Blackford Mill).

The purpose of this meeting will be to hear residents' views and concerns so that the JPC can develop and submit a formal response that reflects the views of the community. Details of the date, time and venue will be announced within the next week.

In the meantime, residents should be aware that the developer, Mac Mic Strategic Land, is currently undertaking its own public consultation.

⚠️ Please note: this is a developer-led consultation. It is separate from the Parish Council consultation and is not the formal planning application process.

📣 Reminder – Parish Meetings Tomorrow Evening

A reminder that two Parish Meetings will take place tomorrow evening, Thursday 28 May, at The Baptist Church Hall:

✨ Henley-in-Arden Parish Meeting – 6pm
✨ Beaudesert Parish Meeting – 7pm

The meetings will discuss the proposal to bring the two parishes together under one parish and one parish council.

Residents are welcome to attend either meeting to listen to the discussion. However, only electors of the relevant parish will be able to vote on that parish’s resolution:
• Henley-in-Arden electors may vote at the 6pm meeting
• Beaudesert electors may vote at the 7pm meeting
