We have had some great results lately – starting with a client who was under investigation with the police for a high value fraud. By taking advantage of the new pre-charge engagement process, we made our own enquires and suggested further lines of enquiry for the police to investigate. We were able to provide sufficient evidence to the police which showed our client innocent of any wrong doing. Few firms are taking the opportunity to engage with the police in this new process, but here at Wheldon Law we will always go the extra mile for our clients. This is just one of several cases which have been dropped as a direct result of our hard work and dedication to our clients.

In another case, our client was acquitted of affray and assault after a 5 day trial in the crown court. Because of the delay in the crown court our client has had this hanging over his head for over 18 months and was hugely relived it was over and very grateful to us.

Our client was listed at Luton Crown Court today for trial after being charged with threats to kill. After extensive work on the case we persuaded the crown prosecution service to offer no evidence. Our client is thrilled!

Another fantastic result today! Our client was acquitted of GBH with intent at a retrial after an initial hung jury on his first trial. He was looking at a substantial prison sentence if convicted. This case has lasted just over 2 years and our client is now happy to be able to put it all behind him.

Today we secured an acquittal for TWO defendants on trial for ABH. These two young men, who after two years under investigation and subject to prosecution were eventually found not guilty after trial.

Our client was acquitted today after a 5 day trial in the Crown Court. Our client stood trial for an alleged assault occasionally bodily harm. Our client always maintained his innocence and the victim was discredited in court and our client was found not guilty!

Great result in court today! Our client was charged with possession of a firearm, which he always denied, after a 10 day trial at Isleworth Crown Court the jury could not reach a verdict. After reviewing the case, the Crown Prosecution Service decided it was not in the public interest to pursue with a re-trial.

Fantastic result for our client in court yesterday who was acquitted of attempted murder after a week long trial. Due to the seriousness of the allegation he has been on remand since January and is now delighted to be reunited with his family. Well done to all concerned and particular our Crown Court department!

Our client was facing a trial in the Crown Court after being charged with possessing an imitation firearm to cause fear and violence. After extensive work on this case the Crown Prosecution Service decided to drop all charges. The client is extremely happy as these proceeding have been going on for 2 years.

Our client was acquitted after a 7 day trial in the Crown Court. Our client was charged with a very serious section 18 and if convicted he would have been at risk of a 8 year prison sentence. This was a difficult and sensitive case and if convicted, our client would have been at risk of receiving a 10 year prison sentence.
