Work is well underway on 2 new workshops to rent out here at Big Tin Shed. They should be ready for new tennents from May 1st and priority will be given in the first instance to anyone effected by the Boxing Day 2015 flooding. Both workshops are unfurnished and on the first floor; one is 11.05m² and the other is 9.35m². All enquiries should be emailed to [email protected]

We're very happy that 'Granny Turismo - The worlds first and only, Shopping Trolley Dance Display Team - in the world!' have moved in with us at Big Tin Shed.

Our latest new tenant is Curious Cargo - a performance & community arts company. They have created a pink palace within Big Tin Shed from where they create fabulous, fun & engaging, street theatre walkabout acts & puppet characters for festivals & events throughout the year. The range of acts offer a variety of colourful comic characters & fantastic puppets, all created with exquisite attention to detail & high performance skills. In addition to performing Curious Cargo also delivers performance & making workshops in a range of community settings. The workshop & training portfolio includes: physical theatre & improvisation techniques; mask movement & mask making; puppeteering skills & puppet making; exploring projection, shadow & movement; creation of large scale puppets, props & lanterns for parades & celebratory events; and a range of visual arts experiences including withie sculptures, silk paper making, mark-making etc. For more info check out Curious Cargo’s page: https://www.facebook.com/CuriousCargoLtd/

Thanks to everyone who came to our Super Sale and relished in giving so many items new homes. So far we have raised £285 which will go towards our much needed new fire alarm. We still have some items available if anyone wants to pop in and have look.

Noisy Toys will be hosting a 'Fun Palace' event at Big Tin Shed this weekend, Sat 1st Oct, 12-4.
Flick switches, pull levers, press keys and write code to trigger the awesome Meachacoustic Machines! Upcycled violins, a piano and a double bass triggered with fans, motors and old hard drives. We will also have some of the Noisy Toys favorites: Nose Testing, Goop Testing (yes, the non-Newtonian cornflour) and other interactive instruments for you to play on.
