🚨 DONT FORGET 🚨

It’s the Hayle Emergency Services Community Station open day on Saturday 10am - 2pm.

What will it involve?
🚒 A chance to look at the emergency services vehicles, including the Tri Service Officer’s from Hayle and Fowey
🧯 A chance to ask questions about our current recruitment drive and chat to the prevention team
🍦IceCream Van!
🐶 An opportunity to meet and have pictures with Marshall from Paw Patrol!
🖍 Colouring and a ‘Guess the name of the bear’ activity
🎟 A raffle with a variety of prizes donated from local businesses including; ICED on the Quay, Birdies Bistro, The Cornish Arms, FEED, Lucy Bakes, Asda and more.

We’re also extremely lucky to be able to have the Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP) on site for the day to show to you all!

All money raised will be donated too The Fire Fighters Charity.

The fire crew, and all at the station are excited to open the site for the day and have the chance to meet you all!

📟 Shout - May 23rd 3:08am 📟

Hayle crew responded to a residential fire in St.Erth.
On arrival, no smoke or fire was seen from the building. After a thorough check of the property and use of the thermal image camera it was determined there was no fire.
Fire safety advice was given to the resident as well as installation of two smoke alarms.
Please remember to have smoke alarms fitted in your home and 🔥

Crew from Hayle & Tolvaddon joined the RNLI lifeguards this morning for training in how to rescue people buried and trapped underneath sand.
Both agencies worked together and learnt best practices and the most appropriate teamwork procedures should this happen on our beaches.
A fantastic morning for all involved! 🏖️
Always follow advise from the Coastguard and the RNLI to stay safe at the beach☀️

***Planned Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service Exercise at St Ives Guildhall***

On Monday 27 February from 6pm - 9pm Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service will be conducting a planned exercise at St Ives Guildhall.

The exercise will simulate an incident involving a fire within the hall area of the building used to hold events. Fire crews will use Search and Rescue techniques in Breathing Apparatus to locate the fire and any casualties.

Attending the exercise will be Four Fire Appliances from St Ives, Hayle and Penzance and around 30 Firefighters.

It is the services responsibility to provide an effective and efficient response to potential incidents held on our Risk Register and to ensure this, risk visits, familiarisation and exercises like this must be conducted.

Please be aware that there will be limited access via Street-An-Pol between the hours of 6pm to 9pm. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Hayle crew mobilised to industrial property fire in Pool.

Working alongside colleagues from using hose reel jet, thermal imaging & positive pressure ventilation, the fire was extinguished, property ventilated & searched.
