Friday 11th September Remembering Rick Rescorla Parade and Ceremony. This will be passing by The Old Foundry Chapel and Chapel Terrace will be closed to traffic making it a good viewing spot.
Businesses will be open as usual for food and drinks.

𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐚

11th September 2026 will mark the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the USA. Hayle-born Rick Rescorla coordinated the evacuation of over 2,500 people from the World Trade Centre, saving their lives but very sadly losing his own in the process.

All are welcome to attend the parade and ceremony to remember his life, bravery and sacrifice - we encourage attendees to walk or use public transport as far as possible as parking is limited and road closures will be in place for the duration.

Due to a clash of local markets we have now changed the day of our market to the Second Saturday each month. Please share and click on the link to express your interest. We’re particularly interested in food traders for a farmers market vibe.
