Haverhill Town Council will be hosting a free-to-attend doorstep crime and scam awareness training session on Monday 22 June at 6:30pm, run by Crime Reduction Enterprise.

The session will cover all areas of fraud, including:
• Internet/cyber crime
• Mass marketing fraud (including mail and telephone fraud)
• Romance and courier fraud
• Social media data harvesting
• A.I. crime
• Doorstep crime (including bogus officials, distraction burglary, criminal/rogue traders

Alongside giving real-life examples of crime areas, the session will advise you on how you can keep safe with some simple to follow rules and practical advice.

🪖 Armed Forces Day - military vehicle convoy
📆 Saturday 27 June - from 11:00am

Don't miss our Armed Forces Day military vehicle convoy. The convoy will leave the Haverhill Arts Centre car park around 11:00am before driving via Duddery Hill, Clements Lane and Camps Road to the Market Square. This will be followed by a parade at around 11:30am consisting of the Glenmoriston Pipe Band, Royal British Legion & standards, Air Training Corps and veterans.

This week has included:
🚿 Pressure washing the fencing on Ehringshausen Way
💦 Removing the graffiti from the wall on Swan Lane
🚮 Litter picking at the pump track
🚮 Graffiti removal on the Howe Road gas building and bus station

A polite reminder to please not fly tip at the pump track. This week alone there has been abandoned bikes, lawnmowers and old TVs left. The wardens are having to visit there a minimum 3 times a week. There is a bin inside the pump track and one outside.
