Dear Parents and Guardians,

I am writing to inform you that since my recent health issues I have made the decision to resign from my role within the RAF Air Cadets, effective March 1st.

It has been a privilege to work with your children and to be part of a community that supports their growth, confidence, and development. I am grateful for the trust you have placed in me and for the positive experiences we have shared.

I remain confident that the organisation will continue to provide a safe and supportive environment for all members. I wish the young Cadets, families, and staff every success for the future.

Today 8 cadets attended a dedication ceremony to welcone the retun of the RAF Pembroke Dock Memorial Window. The original dedication took place in October 1945 to honor airmen lost in World War II, The service was led by The Venerable Air Vice-Marshal Giles Legood, Chaplain-in-Chief of the RAF.

The Cadets had the opportunity to look around the Pembroke Dock Heretige centre and meet veterans and other dignitaries.

VJ80 COMMEMORATION EVENT – HAVERFORDWEST
Marking 80 Years Since Victory Over Japan Day

This year marks the 80th anniversary of Victory over Japan Day (VJ Day), the date which signified the end of the Second World War.

In collaboration with the Haverfordwest Branch of the Royal British Legion, Haverfordwest Town Council invites members of the public to join in commemorating this significant moment in history.

Location: WW2 Memorial Gates, Cenotaph, Salutation Square

10:00 am – Commemorative Gathering and Act of Remembrance &
Wreath Laying

11:00 am – VJ80 Service at St David’s Church, Prendergast

Officiated by Revd Heather Cale, RBL Chaplain

This event will honour the sacrifices of those who served in the Far East and those who never returned. It will also be an opportunity for our community to reflect and remember all who endured the hardships of war.

All are welcome.

Cadets from 948 and 2420 (Whitland & District) Sqn. ATC joined today for a Blue Fieldcraft course. All cadets passed and can now move on to the Bronze course if they so wish.
Many thanks to Cpl William Thorley Service Instructor , for such a valuable and informative session.
All cadets learned a great deal and enjoyed their day.
A special Thanks to Cadet Sgt Zach Davies for supporting the staff today.

We attended the RBL Poppy Appeal Launch this morning in Haverfordwest town Square. This was a first public appearance from some of the cadets, who have been working hard learning to play the Side Drum and Bell Lyre alongside our more experienced cadets. It's always a pleasure to see them out engaging with the public and for a very good cause.
