Please be aware that crews from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service are conducting a water exercise today between 2pm and 8:30pm at Llys-y-frân Lake, Pembrokeshire.

🚨 Dummies will be placed on the riverbank and there will be an increased presence of emergency vehicles in the area - please don’t be alarmed.

As we say goodbye to a busy 2025 which has been filled with a variety of challenging incidents, lots of training and some great local events. The station would like to thank everyone in the local community that has supported the station and the firefighters charity this year. Whether it was at incidents that we’ve attended or through the community events we have attended, at the station or in and around the town. We hope you all have a safe and prosperous 2026🧑‍🚒👩‍🚒🚒

A Met Office yellow warning for rain is in force from 12pm today (Tuesday 4 November) until 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 5 November) across South Wales.

There are currently 5 Flood Warnings in place with 27 Flood Alerts all over Wales.

With the ground already saturated, rivers may respond quickly to further rainfall. We will issue further flood warnings and alerts when necessary.

• Take care if you have to travel and never walk or drive through flood water.

The Council is getting increased calls at a number of locations with Fire Service having to rescue several drivers in flooded roads. Please only drive if essential and observe flood and road closure signage.

Never a dull moment!

We had the fire brigade out on Saturday after someone put a firework in the post box - if you posted anything that day it's probably not reaching its intended destination...
