🥶 Beware of cold water shock!

Even on the warmest days, our rivers and lakes stay surprisingly cold. That shock can hit your body hard — making it suddenly difficult to swim or even breathe properly.

If you’re getting into the water, don’t jump in. Take it slow, give your body time to adjust, and stay in control.
And if you ever accidentally fall in:
➡️ Fight the urge to panic
➡️ Tilt your head back
➡️ Spread your arms and legs
➡️ Float… breathe… and regain control

Be Water Aware.
