Time is running out to share your views.

Our survey on the future of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service closes this Sunday.

We’re currently developing our next Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP), the five-year plan that guides how we keep people across Lancashire safe. At this stage, there are no proposed changes; we’re simply asking communities what matters most to them.

Your feedback will help shape how our services are delivered in the years ahead, and we’re keen to hear from as many people as possible before the survey closes.

Take part in our short survey here:
www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/LFRS26

Closes 5pm Sunday 15 March 2026

Your response will help guide how we protect and support communities over the next five years.

Ever wonder why firefighters treat closed-up structures with caution? This is a backdraft—one of the most dangerous fire behaviors.

This controlled training exercise demonstrates a backdraft. This occurs when heat and flammable gases build up in a closed space. Introducing oxygen can cause an instant and dangerous ignition.

Understanding fire behaviour is a vital part of keeping our communities safe. 🔥🚒

Our Community Risk Management Plan is a five-year plan that outlines how we will help keep people in Lancashire safe. To shape our next plan, we’re inviting residents, businesses and communities to tell us what’s most important to them.

Your feedback will help guide how our services are delivered in the years ahead, with a further, more detailed consultation planned later in 2026.
