Three more arrests have been made in connection with two incidents in Hartlepool involving large groups gathering at properties where a man was assaulted and a property damaged.
The men, aged 19, 23, and 25, were all arrested on suspicion of robbery, violent disorder, criminal disorder and using threatening or abusive behaviour to cause alarm and distress. The 19-year-was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug.
All three have been bailed pending further enquiries. Two others, a 54-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, were also bailed pending further enquiries.

Police in Hartlepool have today made two arrests in connection with two incidents involving large groups gathering at properties where a man was assaulted and a property damaged.
Officers were called to a property in the Hartlepool area on Friday 28th August, where a group had gathered claiming to be carrying out a peaceful protest.
A 29-year-old man was assaulted, racially abused and had a bag stolen from him. He was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, where he remained overnight for treatment.
A 54-year-old man from Hartlepool has been arrested on suspicion of robbery. He remains in police custody at this time.
At around 12:30pm today, Saturday 29th August, officers were called to a second address in Hartlepool where windows were smashed at a property with rocks and bricks, whilst children were present inside.
A group of people were gathered outside the property.
Police remain in the area to provide a highly visible presence and reassurance to the local community. This presence will continue over the coming days.
A 46-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of obstruct/resist a constable in the ex*****on of duty. She has been taken to police custody.

We will not tolerate incidents such as these, where groups of people target individuals and cause people harm or destroy property. Anyone who carries out this type of mindless behaviour can expect to be arrested and put before the courts.”
