Tom Gordon's Quiz Night take over!

We are grateful to Tom for finding space in his diary to take over as Quiz Master for the Quiz Night on Friday 26th June.

If you have any knowledge of cheese, Europe, Yorkshire or politics, you could be in luck as these are just some of the rounds planned for the evening. If not, there is still time to swot up!

The ticket price includes a chilli / veggie chilli supper. Bring your own drinks and we will provide everything else.

All are welcome and all proceeds will go to local party funds.

Last Friday's Westminster Hour was a fascinating discussion about Foreign Affairs with Tom Gordon MP and Lord Purvis Of Tweed, who is the Leader of the Lib Dems in the House Of Lords.
There was a wide ranging conversation covering Iran, Ukraine, The Falklands and Sudan, and many points in between.
Thank you to everyone who turned out for this one, we hope you enjoyed the night!

Hot off the press!

Tom Gordon's guest for the our next event will be Lord Purvis Of Tweed, Leader of the Liberal Democrats in the House of Lords.

When appointed, Jeremy was one of the youngest ever Life Peers. He was elected to the Scottish Parliament as the youngest constituency MSP, aged 29. He served two terms in Holyrood as MSP for Tweeddale, Ettrick & Lauderdale. The seat no longer exists owing to boundary changes.

Jeremy was appointed to the House of Lords aged 39 in 2013 and currently also serves as the spokesman for Foreign Affairs and International Development. He chairs and supports a number of development and peacebuilding charities, co-chairs the APPG on Trade out of Poverty and piloted the 0.7% International Development Assistance Act through the House of Lords in 2015.
