πŸ“Ÿ call out 36L3 - 0030hrs πŸš’

This evening summerbridge crew and YAS (Yorkshire ambulance service) were called to assist a car and its occupants that had gone off the beaten track.
With mobile phone signal very poor the information was limited.
On arrival and after a short walk up to the car all occupants were unharmed and ok.
The driver had followed their sat nav and had taken them off the road and on to a Green-lane designed for 4x4’s only!
Occupants were walked down and the ambulance service gave them a quick check and dropped them to the next village where they were waiting for a lift back home.

Just a reminder
-if the road doesn’t look suitable please don’t go along it.
- please beware of the winter conditions and pack extra clothes just incase. (As pj’s and slippers aren’t the best in snowy condition’s and minus temperatures)

(Lofthouse crew not available due to crewing levels)
Both summerbidge and lofthouse are actively recruiting! If you require any more information drop us a message or pop down to the station on a Wednesday evening and speak to the crew.

πŸš’πŸ“Ÿ Double call out in the last 24 hrs πŸ“ŸπŸš’

πŸ”₯ 14/11/22 - 1210hrs - a crew from summerbridge and later joined by Ripon station were mobilised to reports of a chimney fire in the dale. on arrival summerbidge crew were greated by the occupants who had already tried to extinguish the fire. A quick check inside and out of the property using the thermal imaging camera revealed all was good.

πŸ”₯ 15/11/22 - 0311 hrs - summerbridge crew were mobilised alongside a crew from harrogate station to a single vehicle RTC. On arrival harrogate crew had already set to work with the hydraulic cutting gear and were in the process with the ambulance crew to extricate the causatly. Summerbridge crew assisted in this process before making themselves available to assist in what was turning out to be a busy hour in the harrogate district. (x2 separate house fires and 2x separate vehicle RTC’s in just over an hour)

πŸ§‘β€πŸš’Summerbridge crew have also missed x2 call-outs in the last week due to not having enough crew members to attend these incidents. This meaning crews from neighbouring stations have had to attend. Therefore delaying response time to sometimes critical incidents

If you live within 7 ish minutes from the station, have thought about joining the crew, gain an extra income, learn new skills, give something back to the community or have any questions regarding the job.
Then fell free to send us a message or pop down on a Wednesday evening during our drill night (1900-2100hrs)

Cheers
Summerbridge crew πŸš’πŸ§‘β€πŸš’πŸ§‘β€πŸš’πŸ§‘β€πŸš’πŸ§‘β€πŸš’πŸ§‘β€πŸš’
