Want to improve your English, make friends, and read imaginative stories?

Introducing Speak, Read, Chat - taking place every Friday, 10am - 11am, in Harlow Library, and beginning 5th of June.

Each session will be 30 minutes of reading in English in a group (with other learning activities) and 30 for chat over tea and coffee. Interesting stories will be chosen to read over a few weeks.

Harlow BookTalk group are a relaxed, friendly group. 📖 ❤️
Who meet on the first Tuesday of the month 2:30-4pm at Harlow Library.
Next meeting: 2nd June. Where the group will be discussing 'There Are Rivers In The Sea' by Elif Shafak and picking up their next book, 'The Boy From The Sea2 By Garrett Carr.

At Old Harlow, our Daisy Chain book club works a little differently. No set times, no big gatherings, just a relaxed drop-in setup. Chat with our staff at the desk, and they’ll pick you a book from our curated selection based on what you might enjoy.

When you’ve finished, bring it back and have a friendly catch‑up about what you thought with the staff. It’s a simple and personal way to discover new reads.

It’s coming up to the fourth Saturday of the month, which means it’s Great Parndon Library’s turn to host their craft event!

Craft materials will be set out on the table from 10:00am to 16:00pm. Simply drop in, take a seat, and start crafting.

🍃 Tye Green Library hosts on the second Saturday of every month.

We were pleased to host the Essex Shared Lives pop‑up desk in Harlow Library this week, offering information and support for anyone interested in becoming a Shared Lives carer or finding out more about the service.

Shared Lives supports adults with additional support needs to build confidence and develop life skills by living with a host person or family. If you missed them this time, don’t worry, they’ll be back for more drop‑ins throughout the year.

Visit us to discover how Shared Lives is making a difference in our community.
